A former graduate in Animation from the Royal College of Art, Iain Gardner had his introduction to the animation industry as an apprentice on Richard Williams’ unfinished Masterpiece The Thief and the Cobbler. (My first professional animation can be seen here - the hoop of fire around 1:22 - 1:32!) He was also the recipient of an alt-w bursary to explore creating animation via mass participation – a video he made to test this idea scored over a quarter of a million hits on YouTube.
